Submit a one-page essay or less explaining your commitment to graduating college debt free.
Email your essay covering all three topics below. Keep it authentic, personal, and under one page.
Why graduating college debt free matters to you
How you plan to avoid student loans and credit card debt
What debt-free education will mean for your future
Your essay must be authentically written by YOU. Timbercrest uses AI-detection tools. Essays created by AI, copied online, or not written by the student will not be considered.

Eligibility & Selection
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all criteria to qualify:
- Current high school senior graduating this year
- Genesee County resident
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must graduate with a high school diploma
- Accepted as a full-time student at a university, community college, or trade/vocational program
- Application received by May 30 of the current year
How Winners Are Selected
- Timbercrest Roofing & Siding reviews all submissions
- Three finalists are chosen based on the strength of their essay responses
- The winner is announced in June
- Scholarship checks are issued jointly to the winning student and the school they will attend
